Mr. Marland is an experienced Mathematics teacher for MathsforEverybody. He holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Chester, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Actuarial Science.
With 13 years of teaching experience in Wuhan, Mr. Marland has delivered a wide range of international curricula, including A-Level, AP, International Foundation Year (IFY), British Columbia, and World School Program courses. In the UK, he taught KS3 and GCSE Mathematics, A-Level Accounting, prepared students for the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) challenges, and accompanied students on Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions.
Prior to moving to China, Mr. Marland completed a BSc in Mathematics and French and spent two years teaching English in local schools in France. He holds a CELTA qualification in English and continues to pursue language learning, including completing HSK Chinese examinations.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Mr. Marland actively strengthens his expertise in Mathematics and education by supporting university students and staying current with A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics examination content.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Marland enjoys long-distance running, badminton, and playing the trumpet and piano.
